This CAE Blue Phantom upper torso model aids learners in developing and practicing the skills associated with a midscapulary approach to ultrasound-guided thoracentesis procedures. The patented Simulex insert allows learners to practice identifying and guiding needle and small-gauge catheter insertions in a patient under ultrasound guidance. The Simulex tissue has self-healing properties, allowing for 1000+ punctures.
